This week, most of my work on the project included finishing all of the enemy animations and creating projectiles for the enemies, in addition to running playtests for the upcoming report.

Enemies Galore

Most of this week's work was spent finishing all the assets needed for enemies so that I can move on to the boss animation in the coming weeks.

In addition, I also created projectile assets for the enemies, as well as the player's fireball.

Playtesting

Another chunk of the week's work was also dedicated to playtesting for the upcoming report. I somehow managed to gather 6 playtesters for testing over the span of 24 hours, which made the process rather smooth.

The playtest was structured so that playtesters would blindly explore the first level, with me only filling in the gaps whenever it was absolutely necessary. This allowed us to better understand how a first time player would approach the first level, something rather important as this is where we have to teach the player most of the game's mechanics.

Reflection

Overall, I believe a decent amount of progress was made this week, but unfortunately the work I could've done was hindered by other classes. However, with everything else off of my plate, I should have time to start work on the boss after next week.

Until next time!
