It's hard to believe we're already in the endgame now, but there is still so much to do with so little time. We're almost done, the game is technically fully playable, but we just need one last push to get everything in before the deadline. That said, let's get into what we did this week.
First, and probably most important, the entire game map is done. Barring minor tweaks, the entire level design is finished. The scale of the Tower of Ash is quite large for what was probably expected of us in this project, but with so many twists, turns, and paths to explore, players should all have different experiences playing our game. Some fixes related to the area were also made, like fixing the spawn points and colliders.

We still need to retile and make new backgrounds for the level, but the general layout is all done. Speaking of retiling, the tileset for the Vermillion Summit was also made. It is a stark contrast from the other two, being a deep red colour and more pristine than the other two areas.

Furthermore, a lever and door sprite were created, which weren't implemented yet, but will be, to replace the blank white squares we currently have for them.

Also, a boss door was made, which the player can enter when they go to fight the boss.

The animations and sprites for the boss fight were also completed, and were implemented into the game before the beta build was submitted.
After the beta, we started polishing the game, and including some minor features not yet implemented. Mainly, tinder and enemy feedback were overhauled, and particles were created for enemies and players.
For the final week, more polish work will be done. New tiles, new backgrounds, new particles, sound effects and music, a map, and bugfixes are all on the menu. So long as we all finish our tasks on time, we should be able to have a nicely polished game in time for the showcase next week.
For the last time, until next time.
